Nov. 30 - Dec 4 - Students will finish up their presentations and begin working on their whole group presentation of "The Awesome Adventures of Percy". Read through the play, reread through the play and adapt vocabulary from UK terms to American terms, and discuss props needed. Begin discussion of part assignments. If time allows, we are going to preform it for Ms. Camlin's mythology class before winter break.
Nov 23 - 27 - Students will continue presentations. NO SCHOOL - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25TH - FRIDAY, November 27TH. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Nov. 16 - Nov. 20 - Students will finish practice and begin presentations.
Nov. 9 - Nov. 13 - Students will be continue to practice for their upcoming presentations.
Nov. 2 - Nov. 6 - Students will be selecting a performance of their choice for reassessment - monologue, group play, duet, or storytelling. They will work with partners for upcoming presentations.
Oct. 26 - Oct. 30 - We will be finishing up our demonstration speeches. Students will be working with teams to determine their next presentation.
Oct. 19 - Oct. 23 - Student will be continuing their demonstration speeches. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesday from 4- 7 pm and Thursday 1 -7 pm. No school on Friday. Enjoy your 3 day weekend!

Oct. 5 - 9 - Student will research and select a topic for demonstration.
Sept 28- Oct. 2 - We will conclude our short story unit and begin our demonstration speech unit
Sept. 21-25 - Student will research and rehearse a short story of their choosing. Performances to begin next week.
Sept. 14-18 - We will be concluding lip sync battles and begin our Storytelling Unit.

Students will not be assessed on this performance, the goal of this activity is to just create a positive climate and culture in our classroom and give the students an opportunity to get up in front of a group without being assessed or judged.

They will collaborate with their team on props and part assignments, and they will be rehearsing the play the next few days leading up to the performances that begin at the end of next week.
