Apr 25 - Apr 29 - Students will be taking the MAP Science test on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students will be taking their final writing prompt assessment Monday, April 25th the writing prompt will be an argumentative essay. They will also continue to read The Hobbit and use various reading strategies to analyze the character and the effect the plot has on the character's development.
Apr 18 - Apr 22 - We will begin reading the novel The Hobbit. MAP testing begins this week - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please remind your child to get a good night sleep and to eat breakfast. They have worked hard all year, and now it is their time to shine.
Apr. 11 - 15 - Students will be reading various short stories and reviewing comprehension skills, story elements, and writing techniques.
Apr 4 - 8 - Student will complete the argumentative essay and share the results with the other class. They will evaluate each other papers and assess the paper on a 4 point scale. Homophones skill review.

Mar. 14 - Mar. 18 - We will researching Japanese internment camps of WWII. They will be summarizing documentaries, articles, and a non-fiction book for an upcoming persuasive essay.
